Thanks for taking the opportunity to help
Hannah. This 3 year-old from Breese,
Illinois faces many challenges with things
that most of us take for granted - our
health, our ability to take care of
ourselves, the ability to move around when
we want, and the ability to easily speak our
minds.
Hannah was born March 25, 2004 and within
hours she was on her way to the Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital
in St Louis
Mo. In the weeks that followed, Hannah’s
parents learned that she had seizures,
developmental delays, respiratory problems
and trouble swallowing safely. When Hannah
was a year old she also had communication
delays and her family learned that Hannah’s
challenges would not go away… her big sister
Morgan tossed a coin in a wishing well that
day. She wished that Hannah could get
better.
Today medication, therapies, and special
diet with a feeding tube help Hannah reach
new milestones. It’s hard work that
involves teaming with several doctors,
therapists and teachers along with many
trips to Children’s Hospital. It can be
tiring and expensive. But Hannah’s family
does not lose hope and they are committed to
helping her develop as much as she possibly
can.
Thank you for helping us help Hannah!
Gratefully,
The Hats Off for Hannah Committee
